Where can I sell my old books?

We buy and sell antiquarian books and provide professional appraisals of books, libraries, or manuscripts, not only with a view to purchasing them, but also as a service for clients who simply wish to know the value of what they own.

For this purpose, you may bring the books to our bookshop or, if that is not possible, schedule a visit with us to the location where they are kept. In both cases, it is always preferable to book a date and time for the appraisal.

Fees for this service will be agreed in advance with the client and will be deducted whenever a purchase of the appraised items takes place.

This form is intended solely as a convenient means of contact. Any appraisal or purchase proposal will require an in-person examination of the items.

Fees will be presented to the client in advance. If you decide to sell to Livraria Manuel Ferreira, the appraisal fee will be refunded.

We do not make purchase offers for books previously advertised on platforms such as eBay, OLX, CustoJusto, etc.

We travel throughout the entire country.

To help us identify the works more easily, we kindly ask that you attach photographs clearly showing the condition of the items to the form below.

We do not purchase books in poor condition.
